Why and how did we create HealthGuard™ Total Hygiene DM•1?

HealthGuard™ Total Hygiene DM•1, was initially formulated by the founder of HealthGuard™ to compliment his infant daughters asthma medication - which he believed was not addressing the allergic reaction she had to dust mite produced pathogens.

Medications that were prescribed for asthma control were invasive and the side effects were quite distressing.

The research carried out gave positive evidence that house dust mites live in mattresses and pillows.
With a direct link being made between asthma attacks and pathogen containing dust mite excrement, it appeared obvious that if dust mite numbers were reduced or eliminated completely from her sleeping area then the frequency of attacks should reduce.

Extensive tests were carried out for efficacy and safety, and as a result many chemicals were eliminated from the selection process - because of safety concerns, after all this was for his daughter.

Eventually a simple, effective and safe preparation was made and his daughters room was treated with a pressurised garden spray containing the chemical formula, the results were immediate, unexpected and astonishing, for the first time in six years his daughter slept all night - without coughing or suffering yet another asthma attack.

His research also proved that an anti-microbial treatment alone was not enough to remove the dust mites; in fact quite the reverse took place.

The mites became irritated by anti-microbial treatments and moved around more, this led to more mating opportunities and the population of dust mites in anti microbial treated foam grew 7 times quicker than in a non treated piece of foam hence more dust mites and more pathogens.

This led him to understand the key issues of dust mite inhibition and the relationships between bacteria and asthma attacks, eventually after ten years of research, he formulated a commercially viable, innovative and unique combined action system - which killed the dust mites, and removed their food source to prevent further infestation and gave a residual effect for many months.

And as a result we have the HealthGuard™ system, the market leader in safe and effective dust mite inhibition.
